#25 Loaf of bread straight out of the oven at Tartine (bonus: sliced while still warm and slathered with Brillat- Savarin cheese from Bi-Rite

After one failed attempt to get Tartine bread while we were waiting for our pizza, we called back to reserve a fresh out of the oven loaf (opted for the country loaf) and Andrew was so kind as to brave the rain and retrieve it for us (thank you, Andrew!). Unfortunately by that point in the day they were out of morning buns so oh well for trying to kill two birds with one stone. Next time :).

The loaf was huge! This did not stop us from devouring the whole thing.

We of course went for the bonus point - Brillat Savarin cheese from Bi-Rite market. It's a triple creme which means it's like 75% butter, evidenced by how nicely it spread and melted on the hot bread.

Bread and cheese were both mouth wateringly delicious. And I'm so glad we got the loaf hot out of the oven. Even after Andrew's trek back to the apartment it was still steaming when we cut it open. Mmm...few things are better than warm bread...

Well that was the end of our Big Eat SF adventure. 14 items down (7 in one day), 86 to go! The marathon continues...

Wow, you've made me feel hungry even though I just ate breakfast and had two cups of coffee. That looks so good.
