#50 Giant pretzel with mustard at The Monk’s Kettle

After emerging from the BART station at 16th and Mission with a goal of delicious Bi-Rite salted caramel ice cream, we were briefly side tracked by Monk's Kettle. We figured, why pass up a perfectly good pretzel?


The pretzel was quite delicious, especially with the cheddar ale sauce pictured above. My only complaint was that it had too much salt. I usually like my hot pretzels sans salt because it can become overwhelming.

I'm looking forward to going back to Monk's Kettle to try more of their extensive beer list. On this trip I couldn't pass up the mead. It is so rare you see mead on a menu.
