Goodbye 2009! Hello 2010!

Well here we are. 2010. Holy moly. 2009 was an amazing year and 2010 promises to be even better!

Lots and lots of wedding planning - including wedding dress shopping (this isn't my dress).

Of course this only scratches the surface. 2009 was definitely a busy year!

Now that 2010 is here it's time for some resolutions. In 2009 I actually fulfilled my resolution to get in shape. I'm in better shape than I've probably been since high school and I've lost over 20 pounds. I look better and feel better and am more than proud of myself. In 2010 I'd like to accomplish the following:
  • Read 100 books (without buying a single one) - I feel I've let myself slide on reading and I really do miss it. I have quite the collection of unread books so I feel between that, the book club, and the library, I have a nice supply of books to read this year. First up: The Forever War by Joe Haldeman (this month's book club pick).
  • Buy a condo/home! Scott and I hope to purchase our first home together in 2010, sometime after the wedding.
  • Cook one item from each of the cookbooks I own. I have quite a few books I've never made anything from. If any remain by the end of the year I probably shouldn't keep them around any more.
  • Be a more patient person.
  • Be a more regular blogger! I took a 6 month break this year and I'd like to get back into the regular swing of things. I'm not sure I'm going to keep this a strictly cupcake blog (that wasn't my original intention anyway), especially since I've been eating less of them as I try to be a bit healthier. Plus there are so many out there I don't always feel I can contribute something new to the discussion. I'll continue to blog on cupcake related things as they relate to my life.
  • Stay in shape!
To come in just the first 6 months of 2010:
  • Scott will become an uncle!
  • trips to Ann Arbor, Irvine, San Diego, Chicago, Evanston, Urbana, Austin, Boston, Seattle, Las Vegas, and (of course) LA
  • South by Southwest
  • WEDDING!! HONEYMOON!!
