The Serious Eats readers have voted and the winner of best NYC cupcake is Sugar Sweet Sunshine!

I do like Sugar Sweet Sunshine but they weren't my favorite NYC cupcake. I'd go for Batch's bacon caramel pumpkin - if Batch was still open (when can we expect Pichet Ong's next venture anyway?) - or Sweet Revenge. I'd put Sugar Sweet Sunshine on the same level as Butter Lane, which I guess means it's tied for 3rd (or 2nd, since you can't get #1 for now).
