I was in Bristol Farms today buying some food before a movie (they have an amazing prepared foods section in the San Francisco Centre) and noticed a serious uptick in the number of cupcakes they are carrying in their bakery these days:
That is a whole case of cupcakes! They had tons of fun flavors like this Cookie Dough Cupcake:
The cupcakes were pretty decent size, bigger than your normal cupcake, but not huge like a Crumbs cupcake. They're a little on the expensive side at $3.29 a piece, but given their size, it's not too outrageous a price. They looked mighty tasty but I didn't give in to temptation today. Maybe next time.
On the Bristol Farms website they list 12 kinds of cupcakes available for home delivery. I counted at least 24 in the store!
Oh, and I saw The Social Network. I thought the movie was really well done. I love Aaron Sorkin (see also my complete obsession with The West Wing) so no big surprise there.
